About Gauteng District

The Church of the Nazarene is a global denomination with roots in the Wesleyan-holiness movement of the early 1900s.

In 1995, the northern, southwestern and RSA central Districts merged to form the new Gauteng District.

Rev. Rudie Booyens was elected the first District Superintendent and served for 12 years.
