Nazarene Missions International (NMI) exists to mobilise the church in missions through praying, giving, educating, and engaging children and youth, connecting local congregations to the wider missionary work of the denomination.
At district level, the NMI is made up of every local NMI organisation within the district's boundaries, and it represents Global NMI in district ministries, working cooperatively with the district superintendent and District Advisory Board.
It's led by a district council, typically with a president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer plus additional members according to district size, all serving as a love service to the church without salary. The council promotes ongoing missions education and involvement, oversees WEF (World Evangelism Fund) and Approved Mission Specials giving - including programmes like Alabaster - and reports statistics and finances annually through the district and global structures.
